I had an odd shaped kitchen to do a total remodel. Many vendors shied away from the job or out right refused to take it on. I met Mannie and he was the only one excited by the challenge. If that was not enough, I also challenged him to use ever last inch since this kitchen was smaller than my existing one. He listened to my concerns and help bring things in like kick-box to make use of the space under the cabinet. He also partnered on other innovative solutions to maximize space. He deals with Covered Bridge Cabinetry, they have a medium long lead time, but the quality is very good. As the project progressed, as issues came up Mannie worked with my contractor to come up with solutions. I now have a beautiful renovated kitchen. So pleased with his work I worked with him to replace the doors and repaint the kitchen in the house I am selling. He also raised my stove top exhaust which improved the kitchen presentation so much.
Not only does Mannie have good design skills, with him being a GC previously he knew all install gotchas and not only guided me on the kitchen renovation but other work as I was having done as well. He was a great resource to bounce ideas off of.
Finally, to say something about his character, when he has a big job, he donates some of the proceeds to charity. In my case he offered to order a new bathroom cabinet and install it for my Synagogue. His willingness to give back and share shows his character attached is a picture of the renovated kitchen and the make over for the one I am selling.

In the remodeling of our kitchen, we were very happy to have Mannie advise us on purchasing cabinetry for our kitchen island. He helped us think through a lot of details that we had not considered and even helped my husband construct the cabinets. Mannie was always available to answer all of our questions!! Thank you so much Mannie! Mannie also helped us find a kitchen sink that we purchased and leveraged his networks in the granite side of the business. He helped us source granite and find a fabricator.

My husband and I needed help with the dated kitchen in our new home and a colleague referred us to Mannie and his design company, Riversedge Kitchen and Home Design. We contacted Mannie and he met with us several times at our home to discuss the project and budget. We were really pleased that he and Kendra were able to work with our budget and come up with a great design with beautiful finishes. The whole renovation process went smoothly and we could not be more pleased with the end result! We would highly recommend Mannie and Kendra to anyone looking to renovate there home.

This is my second project with Mannie from Riversedge and it's going as smoothly as the first. As a homeowner who has to look at the updates every day, I can be a bit picky. Mannie is very patient with me as I make decisions and both him and his guys want it to be exactly what I want. The tile in my bathroom is a perfect example. Sounds silly but I went through boxes (and boxes!) of tile and sorted out the ones I wanted. Brandon, who works for Mannie, was my second line of defense. He knew my criteria and when he saw one he didn't think would make the cut, he set it aside for me to return. The bathroom tile looks perfect. Every time I walk by it I smile. That's the kind of service and attention to detail you get with Riversedge.

This is a family owned and operated business, which was a huge plus for us. Mannie did not treat us like we were used to being treated by the chain stores, they treated us like part of their family. We had been researching and shopping around for the right place to renovate our 1998 style kitchen for months. We had shopped around at chain stores and requested quotes from contractors in the area. We felt like a number and a nuisance to all. A friend of mine who recently renovated her kitchen recommended Riversedge Kitchen, and let me tell you she has the most modern, beautiful kitchen I had ever seen. It should be in a magazine. I was worried as I did have a particular budget, that I could not stray from. However, I contacted Mannie and we met at my home in NH, several times. Mannie understood our budget and designed a kitchen for me that was perfect. He assured me that he had partnerships with appliance, granite, and hardware companies. This was huge for us as I was so tired of researching on my own. He then informed us that because of these partnerships, the savings would be passed down to us. Riversedge Kitchen renovated my kitchen and he and his team did a spectacular job. They were always on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were extremely professional. Most importantly, he completed my new kitchen exactly as I had always dreamed of, with the exact quote he had given. I had put off remodeling my kitchen for so long because of it's odd shape. I didn't know what to do. Riversedge designer team held the answer. After visiting my home they designed a kitchen that was perfect for my home and my budget. I've gone from a kitchen that I hated spending time in to a kitchen that I love! Thank you Riversedge. Manny Afonso (of Riversedge) and his team have completed several projects for us over the last several years starting with a small basement window replacement project. We were very satisfied so we had him do a complete roof re-shingling for us. We followed that up with our biggest project so far, a replacement of our other 22 windows, two doors, front porch, front steps and a complete residing of our 3000 square foot house with HardiPlank siding and PVC trim. This last project included some nice custom trim around our front door and windows. We have received many complements from our neighbors about the changes. Our house has never looked better and Manny has helped us overcome many years of maintenance issues and get our house back under control.
Manny has given us excellent advice and recommendations for both his projects and my own DYI work so we have come to respect his judgement and opinions. As the work was progressing it was clear that he was paying attention to a quality appearance and most important to me, the underlying true quality and value of materials and proper workmanship. Manny takes personal and professional pride in his work and not just in the stuff that shows. There was one moment where I had an issue with the siding installation and before I could even bring it up with him, he told me that he was unhappy with it and that was going to redo it.
Manny is very accommodating and flexible and will not nickle and dime you when you make minor changes. In fact he is so enthusiastic and proud of his work that you will not only get everything you contracted for, but might get some extra touches along the way. If there is a major change outside the contract, he is very reasonable. When we found termite damage during our siding project it was difficult to estimate the additional work. We trusted Manny to do the necessary repairs and let us know the cost when the extra work was done. The trust was warranted and extra expense was very reasonable and we paid him before returning to the previously contracted work.
I do not believe in contentious relationships with contractors so if you are someone who just wants to trust a contractor to provide quality, reasonable priced work then Riversedge Renovation would be a great choice. We have a long list of projects inside the house to complete over the coming years (a kitchen and 3 bathrooms) and once we figure out what is next on the list we will be giving Manny a call.

We have contracted with Riversedge on multiple projects throughout the last 7 years. Throughout the proposal phase Riversedge provides both practical and forward thinking suggestions. The trade-offs are made clear, as are any additional expenses based on customer choice.
The work is professional, and the site is kept clean. Any questions during the projects were answered, and issues addressed quickly.
I would recommend Riversedge for those looking for quality work done on their home.

Manni has done a couple of projects for us, the first was the remodeling of our kitchen. He was very helpful and listened to us on what we were looking for, he also made suggestions that made our kitchen function better and it look bigger and better. Everyone who comes into our home comments on how great our kitchen looks.
Manni and his employees are friendly, understanding and helpful, they are on time and do a wonderful job of cleaning up at the end of each day. They are very professional in all aspects of work and craftsmanship. We

Mannie Afonso of Riversedge is the only contractor I will ever use. He has done a significant amount of work at my home and is always professional, thorough and does quality work. He managed to do something no other contractor has done – take the stress out of the renovation. This, since I tend to stress about this type of thing, was huge. I highly recommend Mannie and his company to anyone looking for a new kitchen or significant home remodel. He’s the best.

Mannie and his team installed a large bay window in our house in January 2014. It came out perfect. He did it in January, and yet did it so professionally that we never felt any impact from him doing it in the coldest month of the year. He did a few other small items for us in the most professional manner possible. When Mannie promises you a date about when something is going to be done, it's done on that date and at the price he promised.

We mulled over our screen porch design for about 5 years, meeting with several architects and contractors, but couldn’t pin down what we wanted. Mannie Afonso from Riversedge Renovations came highly recommended by two friends, and sure enough, he was able to walk us through the process of designing and building our dream porch. Mannie’s architectural background is a huge asset; he did our architectural drawings, and we found it very advantageous to have a contractor with this skill. Mannie was patient with all of our questions, new ideas, pictures of what we wanted, and any changes that we made along the way; his goal was definitely to provide us with a product that pleased us in the end. Probably the most important thing to us was that he stuck to the original budget that he quoted us; there were absolutely no surprises or add-ons to the original quote.
Our screen porch is gorgeous! His ideas such as keeping the ceiling natural wood, adding the catwalk around the porch and using easy to maintain materials make the space unique and very livable. He has done other smaller projects on our house that we are just as satisfied with, and we intend to work with him on any future projects/renovations. Mannie is professional, honest, reliable, reasonable, and extremely talented.
